On the 12th of December 2023 we helped pack the toys donated to the Westernport community Support Christmas Toy Drive. We also donated 70 toys for kids 8-13 years old who often miss out in most Christmas Toy Drives.

We completed a Bunnings BBQ in November 2023. The money raised went to purchasing a GPS for The Citizen Science Crew at Daangean and toys for the Westernport Community Support Christmas Toy Drive. This was only possible with the support from Peninsula 2.0 Rotary and especially Trudy Poole.

We refounded Peninsula Rotaract on April the 27th of 2024.

We gave the Citizen Science Crew at Daangean a GPS on the 30th of March 2024. The GPS is used to refind turtle nest locations and we also launched a Habitat Island for turtles and shoreline birds.

Teach the Teacher is a public speaking program where local high school students develop a presentation over 10 weeks on a climate change topic of their choice and then present it to their teachers. This program was inspired by our fantastic twinclub Kathmandu Mid-town Rotaract who runs this program in Nepal. So far we have run it at Frankston High School (6 students in 2025) and Rosebud Secondary College (5 students in 2026). Teach the Teacher is not possible without supportive leading teachers.

Draw it Clean is a Frankston based art competition. Students living in Frankston submit their drawings of happy memories in Frankston green spaces which are judged by our fantastic panel of Rotarians and Rotaractors who choose winners from each age group. The winners did an art based workshop and their pictured spaces will be cleaned up by our members.
